The most comprehensive Geographically Marked Products Summit held in Turkey on 28-29 April will be held in Ankara Chamber of Commerce. The summit will be held on the Rize Commodity Exchange on the Geographical Sign of the Rize Stream, where it will present the Rize Roaster.
Rize Commodity Exchange Chairman Mehmet ERDOĞAN and Stock Exchange General Coordinator Hasan ÖNDER will be participating in the Geographically Marked Products Summit to be organized by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Turkish Patent and Trademark Authority and Ankara University hosted by Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO).
Rize Commodity Exchange Chairman Mehmet ERDOĞAN said that Rize is the only product with the geographical sign of "Rize Bezi" but as a result of the common will of public and non-governmental organizations in Rize, Rize Çayı, Rize Roaster, Anzer Balı, Laz Böreği, said that the products are starting to work to get a geographical indication.
Erdogan, who said that Rize Çayı as a stock exchange, Rize Roof will make an application for Geographical Marking, said that in the near future they will add Rize Çayı, Rize Roaster to the list of products with geographical signs and that they will be the pioneer in taking geographical signs of important products for Rize.
